Powder Metallurgy Technology: The Heart of Our Operations Powder metallurgy is an advanced manufacturing process that enables the production of complex, high-precision parts with low waste and cost-effectiveness. This process involves the following key stages, all of which Urmia Powder Metallurgy specializes in:

1. Part Design and Engineering In the design department, we use advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) simulations to design auto parts with high precision according to customer requirements. This stage includes engineering analysis to optimize shape, strength, and performance. Our design team uses up-to-date knowledge to create complex geometries that are difficult or uneconomical to produce using traditional methods like casting or machining.

2. Raw Material Mixing One of our key strengths is the ability to precisely mix metal and alloy powders to achieve desired mechanical and chemical properties. We create unique blends using high-quality metal powders—including iron, steel, copper, and bronze—along with specific additives like lubricants and reinforcements. The mixing process is conducted in controlled environments to ensure material uniformity and quality.

3. Pressing Process with Unique 500-Ton Capacity Urmia Powder Metallurgy is proud to be the sole owner of a 500-ton press in Iran. This advanced press enables the compaction of metal powders at high pressures, resulting in the production of heavy, complex parts with uniform density and high strength. This capability allows us to produce parts weighing over 500 grams with larger dimensions with high precision, which are essential for critical automotive components such as gears, shafts, and bearings.

4. Advanced Sintering The sintering stage, considered the heart of the powder metallurgy process, takes place in advanced controlled-atmosphere furnaces. Compressed parts are heated to a temperature below the main metal’s melting point to bond the powder particles into a solid, unified structure. Using equipped sintering furnaces, we produce parts with superior mechanical properties, such as high resistance to wear and fatigue.

5. Precise Quality Control Quality control is a core pillar of our operations. Our equipped laboratories utilize advanced equipment like profile projectors, hardness testers, and chemical analysis systems to inspect quality at every stage.
